I have received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Occupational Studies from the University of Kansas Medical Center. I am currently pursuing my Master of Advanced Studies degree in Occupational Therapy from the same institution. I have acted as a campus activities coordinator throughout my time at college, and have organized New Student Orientation and spring break events through the school. I worked as a tutor for the athletics department at the University of Kansas, where I tutored student athletes in English Literature and Writing. I have a passion for helping students with essay writing, and I love tutoring English Literature and Composition courses. I have helped many students write successful college admissions essays and scholarship essays. When I assist students with their essay writing, I guide them in reflecting on their own experiences and thoughts, and then communicating them fluently in their essays. I try to help students to not think of essay writing in terms of right and wrong answers, but rather communicating ideas effectively to their audience. I believe that each student has their own unique approach to learning, and I consider it my job as a tutor to find the best teaching approach to the subject for each student.
